Waste Management contracts terminated in Rivers State

The new Sole Administration of the Waste Management Agency, Bro Felix Obuah has revoked the contracts with immediate effect of ten companies charged with clearing waste in Rivers State

This is due to the failure of some waste management contractors engaged by the State Waste Management Agency to comply with the directive of the Agency to go back to site while other issues pertaining to the debts owed them by the out-gone Amaechi administration are treated with dispatch,

The Agency had on Friday, June 5, 2015 agreed with the concerned contractors to mobilize their Staff back to site failure of which they stand relieved of their contract appointments.

“It’s in the light of the flagrant disregard of this agreement that the Agency deems it expedient to revoke the contracts forthwith in line with the order of the new Sole Administrator,” a statement from Jerry Needam on behalf of Felix Obuah stated.

The statement continued that “The Agency wishes to assure the good people of the State that it will not tolerate any acts of sabotage in the efforts of Governor Nyesom Wike to restore Port Harcourt, the State capital to its Garden city status.”

The Sole Administrator warned that any Waste Management Contractor who fails to meet up with the standard set by the Agency will have such contract terminated to create room for those who are ready to work.

The affected/defaulting contractors are as follows:

1. Chiz Engineering Services – Zone: 2nd Artillery to UTC (through Air force, Rumuola, Waterlines, Abali Park, etc.

2. Flees Global – Zone: Mgbuoshimini Town, Agip House Estates 1, 2, 3, Federal Housing Estate and Environs

3. Lemonvare Nig Ltd – Zone: LNG Road, Amadi Town, Rainbow Town and Environs, Odili Road up to Okujagu Roundabout, both sides to include Aeroplane Drive and adjoining streets, Anga and environs, Danjuma Drive, Highe street up to Prof. T. N. Okuwujagu avenue and environs.

4. Adule Integrated Services – Zone: First Bank Rumuomasi, Aba Road up to Rumuobiakani Junction, Rumuomasi including Rumuomasi and Elekahia markets, Elekahia Estate, Stadium Road terminating at Mater Misericodae Catholic Church and Environs.

5. Green Town Technologies – Zone: Elelenwo Town starting from Oil Mill market junction on Aba road, ACMGS and adjoining areas up to Akpajo town by East/West road, linking up to Trans Woji Bridge.

6. Eki Global Concern Nig Ltd – Zone: Wimpey Junction and location road off Iwofe road and the adjoining environs

7. Done Young Nig Ltd – Zone: G.U. Ake Road from NAF Base to Ikwerre Road, Eliozu Town, Eneka Rumukpokwu Road, Eneka Rumunduru Road, Rumunduru Culvert junction.

8. O. C. And Sons Ltd. – Zone: Rumuigbo, Obi Wali Road to East West Road, Federal Government College and all new layouts in that axis. Rumuokoro to Rumukpokwu village and environs on the left side of Ikwerre road, which includes Akwaka estate phase 1,2,3, Elikpokpodu town, Obio/Akpor new market and all the linking roads to Ada George, Airport Road.

9. Deen Construction Company Ltd – Zone: From Back of Civic Centre, Bernard Carr through Lagos Bus-stop, Aggrey Road from Sokoto Street to back of Prison, Creek Road up to Creek Road Market.

10. Magnum And Hunter – Zone: Okuru – Okujagu road up to Okuru Town, Azuabie town and all adjoining streets, Oginigba up to Rumuobiakani Junction and environs.
